What speech and language services do you offer?
At RiteCare we provide;
- Speech and language assessment
- Individual speech and language therapy
- Group and individual parent education classes
Who receives help at RiteCare Center?
RiteCare serves children between the ages of 2 through 7. These children demonstrate significant delays in speech and language skills but are otherwise similar to their peers in their cognitive, physical, and social progress.
How do families access RiteCare Services?
Parents or legal guardians are the primary initial contact for all children applying for services. Parents should contact the clinic to discuss their child's circumstances with a speech/language pathologist. The center welcomes inquires regarding treatment eligibility, communication disorders and speech and language development. What is the cost for your services?
At RiteCare all services are provided free of charge regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
How do I know if my child needs therapy?
When children first learn to talk, they may produce sounds incorrectly, delete sounds, or put words in the wrong order as a part of normal development. However, persistent problems in any of these areas may indicate a need for a speech-language assessment.
Communication development in children tends to follow a specific pattern. However, some variation is natural and can be expected. Generally, children begin using first words between 12 and 14 months. They often have an expressive vocabulary of approximately 50 words, with some 2-word combinations, at age 2. Other people should understand most of what a child says by age 4, which is when a child typically speaks in sentences of at least 4 to 5 words in length with mostly correct grammar.
