Referral Process
Parents are the primary contact for children seen at the centers. Parents/Caregivers are requested to place a phone call to the center to begin the application process: 206-324-6293. Inquiries regarding individual children, eligibility or services are welcome.
RiteCare takes a family-centered approach to speech and language therapy. Parents regularly observe and participate in treatment sessions. They are coached in a variety of techniques and practice activities for use with their child at home. This partnership necessitate that the parent or caregiver attend sessions.

Parent Education
Parents are the primary teachers of speech and language for their child. Many parents have difficulty helping their child if speech is difficult or language is delayed. This unique program provides families with effective methods and proven strategies to promote speech and language development.
These six-week courses are taught by certified Speech Language Pathologists from the RiteCare of WA. The classes are scheduled regularly throughout the year.
Course Work
Through lecture, group discussion, video taping and individualized home assignments, parents
- Learn critical techniques to promote speech and language development;
- Understand the most powerful ways to help children communicate;
- Effectively use everyday conversations, daily routines, and play for language development;
- Support a child's speech therapy and academic programs.
